The Company MST has been around for a while now, they originally started with touring cars and drifting cars but they’ve now set foot into the scale country and have opened up an amazing can of worms called the CFX-W…front mounted motor with portal axles are ingredients for a scaler that can’t be stopped. I am also pairing this chassis with (what I think is goofy looking) an amazingly detailed replica of a truck that is well known in the outback for being a bulletproof overland vehicle…the Killerbody LC70 which in real life is a Toyota LC79.

Been eyeing the Killerbody LC70 hardbody since it came out and as soon as they revised it for their version 2 I snagged one up from Asiatees Hobbies…

I found an article by Asiatees (Mounting a Killerbody LC70 to the MST CFX-W) on how they mounted up the LC70 body and decided to kind of follow that one…

Unboxing the LC70 body from Asiatees…

Kitchen mockup shots, cause that’s how I roll…

Then off to the photo spot after finalizing boy and suspension placement.

Was going to leave it white but while spraying the grill and engine bay, I somehow got some black overspray on the roof. Found some Rustoleum Satin Nutmeg in my collection of spray paint and sprayed it up…

Had some issues with the paint and the bed so that took a while to correct but now I’m sat the point where it’s actually looking street legal…

Ordered up some RC4WD lights designed specifically for the LC70 body and got some yellow stickers from an HPI sticker sheet for the dog lights…gotta be able to cut through the fog!

To be continued…
