Adams Driveshaft Install

I’ve know James Adams of Adams Driveshaft for years. The KrawlTek racing rigs have run his product and he’s been a friend and big supporter of show.

After our maiden voyage in the YJ (Click here for the episode), I discovered that the front stock driveline was a bit too short and kept coming apart when we’d crawl an obstacle and flex too far. It made me feel pretty good about how far the ol JOOP can flex, but falling apart on an obstacle is never fun.

That said it was clear I’d need a new front driveline. And the Rear? Well I made that out of scrap parts, so it was unbalanced and who knows how long it would hole. It did alright in the rocks, but when I got the Jeep up speed it made for a bit of a shimmy and shake. No one wants that for their ride.

I reached out to James to order a set of driveshafts to rectify my problems and he walked me through the process to make sure I had the right sizes and shipped out a perfect fitting product built to my exact specifications.

When the shipment arrived, I could have done a traditional box opening and install video. Instead I chose to do something a little more epic. There are plenty of regular ol’ install videos out there already anyway. And I do struggle to be both the mechanic and the camera guy when doing anything too in depth.

So for this video to go epic I needed a little help. I grabbed Adventure Girl and she helped run the camera. I set up some cinematic lighting and we got the shots. For this short video, we filmed all day. (That’s what it takes to make greatness I guess). Then an evening of editing and and voice over took place. And last but not least looking for that perfect piece of cinematic music can be a chore, but when you find just the right song … well it ties the video together and gives it an emotional pulse.

If you’re in need of drivelines for your build, I wholeheartedly recommend Adams Driveshaft. Be sure to check out their website at https://www.adamsdriveshaftoffroad.com/, and give the talented and helpful team there a call.

I hope you enjoyed watching and if you’re a business or race team and want some custom video work done, feel free to reach out. DM me on FB.
